3. Remove the hard disk drive and disconnect it from the system board. See "Replacing the hard disk drive" on page 136. 4. Remove any PCI adapters installed. See "Replacing an adapter card" on page 124. 5. Disconnect all cables connected to the system board. See "System board connectors" on page 121. 6. Pull up on the blue strap at the front of the system board to release it from the chassis. 7. Slide the system board toward the front until it can be lifted out of the chassis. 8. Remove the heat sink and microprocessor from the failing system board and install them on the new system board. See "Replacing the microprocessor" on page 132. 9. Remove the memory modules from the failing system board and install them into the same position on the new system board.
