4099 Power Service Check FRU Action 1 External Power Supply 2 Power Connector Plug the external power supply into an outlet. Check for + 30 V dc. Check for continuity in the power connector cable. 3 Printhead Cable Unplug the printer. Disconnect one of the Carrier Home printhead cables and plug in the printer. Look for a Sensor symptom change. Check the failing part for shorts Parallel Cable and replace as necessary. Paper Feed Motor Carrier Transport Repeat this procedure for the carrier home sensor, Motor parallel cable, carrier transport motor, paper feed Operator Panel motor and operator panel. 4 System Board If the symptom has not changed, replace the system board. Unplug the printer. Disconnect one of the
printhead cables and plug in the printer. Look for a
symptom change. Check the failing part for shorts
and replace as necessary.
Repeat this procedure for the carrier home sensor,
parallel cable, carrier transport motor, paper feed
motor and operator panel.

If the symptom has not changed, replace the
system board.
