To make a PTT call: Action 1 Enter a PTT subscriber's phone number in your home screen. or Select a contact or group in a list: a PTT Contacts (press the PTT key) b PTT Groups (press the PTT key and M > PTT Groups) c Dialled Calls or Received Calls (press M > Recent Calls > Dialled Calls or Received Calls) Note: If you change your Open To setting, your PTT key does not open the contacts list as described (see page 65). 2 Press and hold the PTT key to make the call and speak. Speak after you hear the Connection to Speak tone. 3 Release the PTT key to let others speak. To speak during a PTT call, hold the PTT key and speak after the Connection to Speak tone. If you speak before the Connection to Speak tone, part of your message may be lost. If nobody speaks for 20 seconds, the call ends. 4 Press o to end the call. Tip: To send a PTT Alert tone instead of a call, open the list of PTT Contacts, Dialled Calls or Received Calls, highlight a PTT contact, and press the ALERT key.
