Getting Started Installing the Car Cradle Placing the Navigation Device in the cradle On the back of the NAVIGON 7200T there is a circle with two recesses. 1. Insert the navigation device into the holder by angling the top projection on the cradle into the top recess on the back of the device. 2. Tilt the device down slightly until the bottom projection clicks into place in the bottom of the mount. 3. Adjust the navigation device so that it can be seen easily. Powering the navigation device Included with the NAVIGON 7200T is a car charger cable with which power can be supplied to the navigation device using the vehicle's cigarette lighter or power outlet. The car charger cable is connected to the NAVIGON 7200T using the power connec- tion port (Power) on the bottom of the device. Caution! The car charger cable is to be connected to cigarette lighters with an operating voltage of 12V only. Connecting an Optional GPS Antenna (Not Included) With the NAVIGON 7200T, you can also use an external GPS antenna (not provided with the device). 1. Connect the GPS antenna to the external antenna/headset socket antenna) on the NAVIGON 7200T. 2. Secure the antenna to the mounting surface using the suction cups.
