Configuration and Setup 62 Administering the C9 Server If the C9 Server hard disk or system software has any technical difficulties, data stored and saved on the C9 Server hard disk may be irretrievably lost. If problems with the hard disk occur, we cannot assure extended storage of the following data: • Third-party fonts • Color profiles, including profiles downloaded or edited using Spot-On • Job notes and instructions • Variable data documents • Address books • C9 Server configuration information (list of all the settings currently in effect) • Information about virtual printers • Information about Paper Catalog Back up and restore settings with Configure You can back up and restore the following C9 Server settings through Configure: • Fiery System Settings • Color Settings • Preflight Presets • VDP Resources (including FreeForm) • Paper Catalog Note: You can also back up and restore the Paper Catalog through the Paper Catalog Export and Import features. For information about these features, see Command WorkStation Help. • Virtual Printers • Server Presets • Fonts • Job Log Back up settings with Configure When you back up settings, you can specify which settings you want to save. 1 In Configure, select Fiery Server > Backup. 2 Follow the on-screen instructions to select the settings. 3 Click Backup to back up the selected settings.
