Shooting basics Chapter 4 Shooting mode setting - Mode dial Set the mode dial to any of the following positions and press the POWER switch. Shooting mode: Mode dial , , , , P/A/S/M, , ● The camera turns on and the lens P/A/S/M automatically extends. ● P/A/S/M mode setting: In the top menu, select MODE MENU T CAMERA T P/A/S/M T P, A, S or M. Press . Press again to cancel the menu. ~ "How to use the menu" (P. 38) Full-auto shooting Allows you to take still pictures using NO special functions or manual adjustments. The camera sets optimal focusing and exposure. Suitable for simple shooting. Sports shooting Suitable for capturing fast-moving action (such as a sports scene or moving vehicles) without blurring. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions. Landscape-Portrait shooting Suitable for taking photos both your subject and the background. The picture is taken with the background as well as the subject in the foreground in focus. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions. Portrait shooting Suitable for shooting a portrait-style image of a person. This mode features an in-focus subject against a blurred background. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions.
