J TAKING STILL PICTURES You can take still pictures using either the viewfinder or the monitor. Both methods are easy as all you have to do is to press the shutter button. 1 Set the mode dial to h i j k l m o r p P and press the power switch. • The viewfinder turns on. To shoot using the monitor, press f to turn the monitor on. 2 Decide the composition of the picture. 3 Press the shutter button gently (halfway) to adjust the focus. • When the focus and exposure are locked, the green lamp lights (focus lock). F2.8 En • The AF target mark moves to the focused position. • The shutter speed and aperture value automatically set by the camera are displayed (except in M mode). • # blinks to warn of camera movement.
