J USING THE SELF-TIMER/REMOTE CONTROL Self-timer : This function is useful for taking pictures with yourself included in the photograph. Remote control : Shooting is possible using the remote control device (sold separately in some regions). This is useful when you want to take a picture with yourself in it or a night scene, without touching the camera. 1 Mount the camera on a tripod or place it on a stable, flat surface. 2 Select Y (self-timer) or < (remote control) by pressing Z. En • The setting changes between Y/< OFF, Y and < each time Z is pressed. 3 Take the picture. • When using the remote control device, point it at the remote control receiver on the camera and then press the shutter button on the device. Self-timer : The self-timer/remote control lamp lights for about 10 seconds, then starts blinking. After blinking for about 2 seconds, the picture is taken.
