PROBLEMS Part of the image is obscured Cause Remedy Lens was partly blocked by Hold the camera correctly. finger or strap Shooting distance is too close Check the composition of the picture on the monitor before taking the picture. Ref. Page P.22 P.24 The picture is out of focus Cause The camera moved when the Shutter button was pressed (hand jitter) Remedy Hold the camera correctly and press the Shutter button gently. Ref. Page P.22, 23 Lens is dirty Clean the lens with a lens blower - and wipe gently with lens cleaning paper. Macro mode was not used Use Macro mode when the P.30 correctly subject is within the range of 25- 60cm (10"-2ft.). Shutter button was pressed Press the Shutter button while P.32 while standing right in front looking into the viewfinder, not of camera in Selftimer while standing in front of the mode camera. Flash was set to Flash Off in situation requiring use of flash As the shutter speed is slow and a longer exposure time is needed, use a tripod or hold the camera firmly. P.22, 28 TROUBLE- SHOOTING 75
