Macro mode was not used Use Macro mode when the P.30 correctly subject is within the range of 25- 60cm (10"-2ft.). Flash was set to Flash Off in situation requiring use of flash As the shutter speed is slow and a longer exposure time is needed, use a tripod or hold the camera firmly.
