Select the settings for the functions while referring to "Using the Menu" (p. 3). Turning on the camera with the K or q button [K/q] E SETUP X K/q Selecting the menu screen color and background [MENU COLOR] E SETUP X MENU COLOR Submenu 2 YES NO Application Pressing K turns on the camera and starts the camera in the shooting mode. Pressing q turns on the camera and starts the camera in the playback mode. The power is not turned on. To turn on the camera, press the n button. Submenu 2 NORMAL/ COLOR 1/ COLOR 2/ COLOR 3 Application Selects the menu screen color or background image according to your preference. Setting the operation sound [BEEP] E SETUP X BEEP Saving the mode when the camera is turned off [SAVE SETTINGS] E SETUP X SAVE SETTINGS Submenu 2 OFF/ON Application Turn off or on the operating sound/ warning sound of the camera buttons. Submenu 2 YES NO Application The shooting mode is saved when the camera is turned off and is reactivated the next time the camera is turned on. The shooting mode is set to P mode when the camera is turned on. When set to [YES], the following settings will be saved. • Flash • Macro • Exposure compensation • White balance • ISO • R*1 (Still images/Movies) • FACE DETECT *1Available in the FE-45/X-40 only. When set to [NO], all shooting settings, except for P mode, [AIMAGE QUALITY], and the selected s mode, return to default settings when the camera is turned off. Adjusting the brightness of the monitor [s] E SETUP X s Submenu 2 BRIGHT/ NORMAL Application Selects the monitor brightness depending on the surrounding brightness.
