Setting file names For the pictures stored on the card, file names and folder names are automatically recorded by the camera. File and folder names are assigned as shown below, using a file number (0001-9999) and folder number (100-999), respectively. Folder name File name \ D C I M \ * * * O LY M P \ P m d d * * * * . J P G Folder number Month (1-C) File number (100-999) (0001-9999) Day (01-31) Months January through September are expressed by the 3 numbers 1 through 9, October by the letter A, November by B and December by C. This function can be set to [RESET] or [AUTO] to determine how to assign file and folder numbers. Select the more convenient setting to transfer picture to a computer. RESET AUTO This resets the file and folder numbers each time a card is inserted into the camera. The file number returns to "0001" and the folder number returns to "100." This is useful for managing pictures on different cards. The file and folder numbers are assigned sequentially from the previous card. This prevents duplicate file names when managing multiple cards. This is useful for managing all of your images with sequential numbers. Setting Up 104
