Getting Started Troubleshooting Problem is displayed. I cannot make calls. The handset does not turn on even after charging the battery. I fully charged the battery, but the low battery message is still displayed and/or the operating time seems to be shorter. Caller information is not displayed. Noise is heard, sound cuts in and out. Cause and/or solution R The handset is too far from the base unit. Move closer. R The base unit's AC adaptor is not properly connected. Reconnect AC adaptor to the base unit. R The handset is not registered to the base unit. Register it. See the Operating Instructions for more information (download information is on page 1). R The tone/pulse setting may be set incorrectly. Change the setting (page 21). R The handset is turned off. Press and hold the power button on the top of the handset. R Clean the charge contacts of the handset and charger with a dry cloth and charge again. R It is time to replace the battery (page 2). R You may need to subscribe to your phone service provider's Caller ID service. Contact your phone service provider for details. R If your unit is connected to any additional telephone equipment, remove the additional equipment and plug the unit directly into the wall jack. R If you use a DSL/ADSL service, we recommend connecting a DSL/ADSL filter between the base unit and the telephone line jack. Contact your DSL/ADSL service provider for details.
