Voice Mail Service Listening to Voice Mail Messages After the voice mail box has received messages, the unit will indicate it in two ways: (a) "Voicemail" displayed on the handset, and (b) the VM indicator on the base unit will flash. To listen to your voice mail message(s), follow the steps below. Handset 1 Press (FLASH/CALL!WAIT/VOICE!MAIL), and press or . •The unit is connected to the telephone line and dials the access number (p. 48). 2 Follow the pre-recorded instructions. 3 When finished, press (OFF). Base unit 1 Press (VM). •The unit is connected to the telephone line and dials the access number (p. 48). 2 Follow the pre-recorded instructions. 3 When finished, press (SP-PHONE). •If "Voicemail" still remains on the display or the VM indicator still flashes even if you have listened to your voice mail message(s), press (FUNCTION), and press and hold (CLEAR) until the unit beeps. "Voicemail" will disappear and the VM indicator will turn off. •If your voice mail service uses a voice mail tone and the recorded message is over 3 minutes long, "Voicemail" may not be displayed and the VM indicator may not flash. •If your voice mail service uses a voice mail tone, the tone will be heard from any parallel connected phone. If you use another phone to retrieve messages, you have to dial your access number manually. 50

” still remains on the display or the VM indicator still flashes even
if you have listened to your voice mail message(s), press
(FUNCTION)
