Volume is reduced to minimum. To cancel Press [MUTING] again or reduce the volume to minimum (- - dB), then raise it to the required level. Muting is also canceled when the unit is turned off. Turning off the display Remote control only The display and all indicators, except for the standby/on indicator, are turned off for better television viewing. Press [FL DISPLAY]. To cancel, press [FL DISPLAY] again. Timer functions Remote control only The SLEEP timer can turn the unit off after a set time and the WAKE timer can turn it on. You can use only one timer at a time. Preparation Select the desired source. ≥Disc Press [DVD/CD] to display "DVD/CD", and insert an Audio CD, etc. ≥The radio Press [TUNER/BAND] to select "FM" or "AM" and tune in the desired station. 1 Press [TIMER] to select the timer. Each time you press the button: SLEEP_--)WAKE_--)OFF ^__________} 2 Within 5 seconds, Press and hold [TIMER] and release when the timer you require is displayed. The display changes as follows: ≥SLEEP (in minutes) ≥30_--)60_--)90 WAKE (in hours) ≥5H_--)7H_--)9H SLEEP starts working immediately. ≥WAKE starts working when you switch the unit to standby. (The "WAKE" indicator lights up.) To cancel the timer Press [TIMER] to select "OFF". To check the setting Press [TIMER] once. ≥If you set SLEEP, the time remaining appears. ≥If you set WAKE, the setting appears. To change the setting Repeat the procedure from the beginning. Using headphones 1 Reduce the volume and connect the headphones (not included). Headphone plug type: 6.3 mm (1⁄4q) stereo 2 Adjust headphone volume with [VOLUME]. Audio is automatically switched to stereo (2-channel). If sound is distorted, turn on dynamic range compression (➡ page 24, Audio-D. Range Compression). Turning off the display
Remote control only
The display and all indicators, except for the standby/on indicator, are
turned off for better television viewing.
Press [FL DISPLAY].
To cancel, press [FL DISPLAY] again.
Timer functions
Remote control only
The SLEEP timer can turn the unit off after a set time and the WAKE
timer can turn it on. You can use only one timer at a time.
Preparation
Select the desired source.
Disc
Press [DVD/CD] to display

The radio
