Slideshow 1, 2, 3, 5 4, 6 MENU Cancel OK OK Red-eye Compensation You can compensate the "red-eye" in flash pictures. 1 Enter the Q mode and use the four-way controller (45) to choose the image you want to correct. 2 Press the four-way controller (3). The Playback Mode Palette appears. 3 Use the four-way controller (2345) to select Z (Red- eye Compensation). 6 4 Press the 4 button. A confirmation dialog for overwriting the image appears. Overwrite original image? 5 Use the four-way controller (23) to select [Overwrite] or [Save as]. Overwrite Save as If the image is protected, a confirmation MENU Cancel OK OK screen does not appear. The image is automatically saved with a new file name. 6 Press the 4 button. The edited image is saved with the same number of recorded pixels and quality level as the original. Editing and Printing Images • The red-eye compensation function cannot be used on movies or on images where red eyes cannot be detected on the camera. An error message appears in Step 4. • The red-eye compensation can be used for still images taken with this camera. However, it cannot be used for images taken with the 16-frame shooting function. 116
