HOLDING THE CAMERA For proper balance, handling convenience and quick access to all camera controls, hold the camera in the palm of your left hand with the thumb and index finger around the lens barrel as shown. The right hand should be positioned comfortably around the camera body with the index finger over the shutter release button. Shooting Horizontally- Hold the camera as described above and keep your arms close to your body to minimize camera movement which can cause blurry photographs. Shooting Vertically - Press the camera tightly to your forehead for added support and keep the arm drawn towards the body. 27•
