To finish the edge of synthetic curtain fabrics, such as Diolen, use a matching synthetic thread. If necessary, ease the upper and lower tensions somewhat. Both these hints should be adhered to in order to avoid shrinking of both the thread and the fabric in the laundry. To butt seam the various sections of curtains, proceed as instructed on p. 31.
