Cause 1 Fabric too thick 2. Material is pulled by sewer. 3 Needle is of inferior quality. Cause: 1 Thread tension not properly adlusted. 2. Thickness of material and size of thread not in accord. 3 Needle thread not placed between tension discs. Needle breaks Remedy Use thicker needle as indicated in Thread Chart on page 28. Don't pull the fabric. Buy high-quality needles only. Thread forms loops Remedy: Adlust upper and lower thread as instructed on tensions page 11. Select needle and thread to suit material as indicated in Thread Chart on page 18. Raise sewing foot and place needle thread between tension discs.
