06 The Audio Settings Menu Channel Level • Default setting: Fix This setting allows you to set the level of each channel sent to the 5.1 channel analog outputs. 1 Press SETUP and select 'Audio Settings' from the on-screen display. Audio Settings Play Mode Initial Settings Video Adjust Disc Navigator Setup Navigator 2 Highlight Channel Level, then use the / buttons (cursor left/right) to change to 'Fix' or 'Variable', as required. Audio Settings Audio DRC Virtual Surround Channel Level 1/ 1 Off Off Fix • Fix - Channel levels are fixed • Variable - You can specify variable channel levels 3 If you chose Variable, press (cursor down) to proceed to the next screen. Audio Settings Channel Level L Channel Level C Channel Level R Channel Level RS Channel Level LS Channel Level SW 2/ 2 0.0 dB 0.0 dB 0.0 dB 0.0 dB 0.0 dB 0.0 dB • Use the / buttons (cursor up/down) to select a speaker. • Use the / buttons (cursor left/right) to adjust the channel level for that speaker. Channel levels can be set from -6 dB to +6 dB. in 0.5 dB increments. 5 Press ENTER to make the settings and exit the audio settings screen. • You can't adjust the channel level for any speakers that are set to Off in the Speaker Installation menu screen (page 62). • The Fix setting is equivalent to setting all the channel levels to +6 dB. Therefore, the Variable setting will usually sound quieter than the Fix setting. 48 En
