See also Screen 4:3 (Pan & Scan) sizes and disc formats on page 41.) 16:9 (Wide) Component Out Interlace Progressive What it means DTS encoded digital audio is output when playing a DTS disc. (Noise will be output if your amplifier/receiver is not compatible with DTS audio.) No digital audio is output when playing a DTS disc. 96 kHz digital audio is converted to 48 kHz for digital output. 96 kHz digital audio is output as is at 96 kHz. MPEG encoded digital audio is converted to PCM audio for digital output. MPEG encoded digital audio is output as is. Set if your monitor or device only accepts stereo input. On this setting multichannel audio is downmixed to 2 channels for stereo linear PCM output. (In case of DTS source, the HDMI audio output is turned off.) Dolby Digital, DTS and MPEG sources are processed according to how they were encoded, but if your amplifire/ monitor is not compatible with DTS audio, DTS audio output from HDMI is turned off. Linear PCM sources are heard as is. No digital audio output. What it means Set if you have a conventional 4:3 TV. Widescreen movies are shown with black bars top and bottom.
