Before You Begin Battery Power You can insert 6 D-sized alkaline batteries (not supplied) and you can take your stereo just about anywhere. • Any battery may leak electrolyte under the following circumstances: EN - if mixed with a different battery type, - if inserted incorrectly, • Open the battery compartment door on the bottom of the unit by pressing down on the tab and pulling out the cover. • Before inserting the batteries, observe the polarities (that is, + and -) of the battery, then relate the polarities to the engraved - if all batteries are not replaced at the same time, - if disposed of in fire, or - if an attempt is made to charge a battery not intended to be recharged diagram located on the battery compartment door.
