About zoom movement when using the manual focus i If the focus distance is set to 30 cm (11.81 in) or less, the zoom is automatically set to the wide end. i When the focus distance is set to 30 cm (11.81 in) or less, the zoom will function only within the range at which the image is focused. 53 English

Select the manual focus icon
from the focus menu, and press
the SET button.

The focus distance adjustment bar appears.

About the focal length

The indicated focal length is that as measured from the lens surface.

There may be somewhat of a disparity between the focal length numerical
value that is set using the manual focus and the actual distance to the
subject. To confirm the focus, it is best to check that the image is in focus
on the LCD monitor.
About zoom movement when using the manual focus

If the focus distance is set to 30 cm (11.81 in) or less, the zoom is
automatically set to the wide end.
i
When the focus distance is set to 30 cm (11.81 in) or less, the zoom will
function only within the range at which the image is focused.
