CHANGING THE SHOOTING SETTINGS Exposure Correction When capturing images, you can make the image lighter or darker. 1 Cancel the Shooting Setting Screen (see page 40). h Press the MENU button to exit the Shooting Setting Screen. Exposure correction bar 2 Press [l] or [m] on the arrow button. h The exposure correction bar appears. h At this point, you can press [l] or [m] on the arrow button to adjust the exposure. Exposure correction setting Darker Lighter Pointer HINT i Exposure correction setting is canceled in the following cases: When the pointer is set to the center position. After the shooting mode is changed. When the playback mode is set. After the power is turned off. i The exposure setting numerical value is shown at the left end of the exposure bar. The exposure can be set to a value from -1.8EV to +1.8EV. i The accessing indicator flashes when the exposure correction is active. i You can also correct the exposure by selecting the exposure correction icon on the Shooting Setting Screen. NOTE When shooting without using the LCD monitor... i Exposure correction is disabled. 55 English

Exposure Correction
When capturing images, you can make the image lighter or darker.

Cancel the Shooting Setting Screen
(see page 40).

Press the MENU button to exit the
Shooting Setting Screen.

] on the arrow button.

The exposure correction bar
appears.

At this point, you can press [
l
] or
[
m
] on the arrow button to adjust the
exposure.
HINT

Exposure correction setting is canceled in the following cases:
When the pointer is set to the center position.
After the shooting mode is changed.
When the playback mode is set.
After the power is turned off.

The exposure setting numerical value is shown at the left end of the
exposure bar. The exposure can be set to a value from –1.8EV to +1.8EV.

The accessing indicator flashes when the exposure correction is active.

You can also correct the exposure by selecting the exposure correction
icon
on the Shooting Setting Screen.
NOTE
When shooting without using the LCD monitor...

Exposure correction is disabled.
