It will take some experimenting on scrap fabric to find the exact settings you want for your applique. Set the width at a medium setting to start, and adjust from there. Use an Open Toe Foot (additional accessory for some machine models) which will provide a clear view of the sewing area. The right side of the stitch should hug the outside edge of the applique, and the horizontal stitches should then stitch into the applique itself. 32 of 49
