Refer to the operation manual supplied with the components for further information on the operation. Press FUNCTION +/- repeatedly until "TV/ VCR1"or "TV/VCR2"appears in the front panel display. Note • When you use both the TV/VCR 1 (AUDIO IN) jacks (analog connection) and TV/VCR 1 (DIGITAL IN COAXIAL) jack (digital connection), or the TV/ VCR 2 (AUDIO IN) jacks (analog connection) and TV/VCR 2 (OPTICAL DIGITAL IN) jack (digital connection) at the same time, the digital connection takes priority. Changing the input level of the sound from connected components Distortion may occur when listening to a component connected to the TV/VCR 1 or 2 jacks on the rear of the unit or to the AUDIO IN jack on the front panel. This is not a malfunction and will depend on the component connected. To prevent this, you can change the input level from the sound of the other components. 1 Press FUNCTION +/- repeatedly until "TV/VCR1," "TV/VCR2," or "AUDIO" appears in the front panel display. 2 Press AMP MENU. 3 Press X/x repeatedly until "ATTENUATE" appears in the front panel display, then press or c. 4 Press X/x to select a setting. • ATT ON: attenuates the input level. The output level is changed. • ATT OFF: normal input level. 5 Press . The setting is reflected. 6 Press AMP MENU. The AMP menu turns off. 30US

Basic Operations
Selecting the connected
component
You can use a VCR or other components
connected to the TV/VCR 1 or 2 jacks on the
rear panel. Refer to the operation manual
supplied with the components for further
information on the operation.
Press FUNCTION +/– repeatedly until “TV/
VCR1”or “TV/VCR2”appears in the front
panel display.
Each time you press FUNCTION +/–, the mode
of the system changes in the following sequence.

Note
• When you use both the TV/VCR 1 (AUDIO IN) jacks
(analog connection) and
TV/VCR 1 (DIGITAL IN
COAXIAL) jack (digital connection), or
the TV/
VCR 2 (AUDIO IN) jacks (analog connection) and
TV/VCR 2 (OPTICAL DIGITAL IN) jack (digital
connection) at the same time, the digital connection
takes priority.
Changing the input level of
the sound from connected
components
Distortion may occur when listening to a
component connected to the TV/VCR 1 or 2
jacks on the rear of the unit or to the AUDIO IN
jack on the front panel. This is not a malfunction
and will depend on the component connected.
To prevent this, you can change the input level
from the sound of the other components.
