Shooting menu For details on the operation 1 page 38 • Red-eye reduction may not produce the desired effects depending on individual differences, the distance to the subject, if the subject does not see the pre-strobe, or other conditions. In such a case, you can correct the red-eye phenomenon using [Retouch] in the viewing menu after shooting (page 57). • When the Face Detection function is not used, the Red Eye Reduction will not function even when [Auto] is selected. Contrast: Adjusting the contrast Adjusts the contrast of the image. (-) Toward -: Reduces the contrast. (Normal) (+) Toward +: Enhances the contrast. (DRO) Adjusts the contrast of the image automatically. • When using flash, if [Metering Mode] is set to [Center] or [Spot], the contrast will not be adjusted automatically. Sharpness: Adjusting the sharpness Adjusts the sharpness of the image. (-) Toward -: Softens the image. (Normal) (+) Toward +: Sharpens the image. 50
