Setting the Audio Output (AUDIO SETUP) Setup Items DOWNMIX DIGITAL OUT SETUP AUDIO DRC Options (: Default settings) Use this function to create stereo (2-channel) signals from Dolby Digital sources recorded on DVDs. This setting affects the outputs of the AUDIO jack.  DOLBY Select this when the connected audio component supports SURROUND Dolby Surround (Pro Logic). NORMAL Select this when the connected audio component does not support Dolby Surround (Pro Logic). You can set the mode of the digital signals output from the OPTICAL OUT jack.  DOLBY DIGITAL DOLBY DIGITAL Select this when connecting an audio component with a built-in Dolby Digital decoder.  DOWNMIX Select this when connecting an audio PCM component without a built-in Dolby Digital decoder. DTS DTS Select this when connecting an audio component with a built-in DTS decoder.  PCM Select this when connecting an audio component without a built-in DTS decoder. 48kHz/96kHz  48kHz PCM Select this when the PCM signal is output at 48 kHz. 96kHz Select this when the PCM signal is output at 96 kHz. Makes the sound clear when the volume is turned down when playing a DVD that conforms to "Audio DRC" (Dynamic Range Control). (Thanks to the dynamic range compression, the volume of quiet sound is maintained.) Select the level to your convenience.
