Enjoying Surround Sound Adjusting the equalizer parameter The EQ menu contains parameters that let you adjust the equalizer of the front speakers for optimum sound. The settings are applied to all sound fields. 1 Start playing a program source encoded with multi channel surround sound. 2 Press MAIN MENU repeatedly to select " EQ ". 3 Press or to select the parameter you want to adjust. 4 Turn the jog dial to select the setting you want. The setting is entered automatically. Initial settings Parameter BASS XXX.X dB TREB. XXX.X dB EQ XXX Initial setting 0 dB 0 dB OFF To turn on/off the equalizer 1 Press MAIN MENU repeatedly to select " EQ ". 2 Press or repeatedly to select "EQ XXX". 3 Turn the jog dial to select "EQ ON" or "EQ OFF". Note The EQ indicator in the display lights up when the equalizer is turned on. When you adjust the equalizer using the EQ parameters, the settings are applied to all sound fields and can be reproduced whenever you turn on the equalizer. Bass (BASS XXX.X dB) Lets you adjust the gain of bass. Treble (TREB. XXX.X dB) Lets you adjust the gain of treble. Resetting customized sound fields to the factory settings 1 If the power is on, press ?/1 to turn off the power. 2 Hold down 2CH and press ?/1. "SF. CLR." appears in the display and all sound fields are reset at once. 33US
