Setup Detaching the speakers (KDE55XBR950 and KDE61XBR950 only) The speakers on the KDE55XBR950 and KDE61XBR950 can be detached if required. If you use a multi-channel surround speaker system and there is insufficient space to install the display unit, we recommend using the speakers detached. Be sure to remove the speakers before installing the TV on a wall, etc. Detaching the speakers from the TV should be performed by qualified Sony personnel. When detaching the speakers, spread padding or the packaging material on the floor to prevent damage to the speaker housing or terminals. Be careful not to place too much pressure or use excessive force when detaching the speakers. Be sure the display unit is stable on the floor. Turn the TV over so that you can see its rear panel. 2 Remove the four screws marked with arrows located at the rear of each speaker (as shown below), and pull out the speakers straight to detach them from the display unit. Detaching the
speakers
(KDE55XBR950 and
KDE61XBR950 only)
The speakers on the KDE55XBR950 and KDE61XBR950 can be detached
if required. If you use a multi-channel surround speaker system and there is
insufficient space to install the display unit, we recommend using the
speakers detached.

Place a protective sheet or cloth beneath the TV on the floor. Turn the TV over
so that you can see its rear panel.

Remove the four screws marked with arrows located at the rear of each speaker
(as shown below), and pull out the speakers straight to detach them from the
display unit.
Be sure to remove the speakers before installing the TV on a
wall, etc. Detaching the speakers from the TV should be
performed by qualified Sony personnel.
When detaching the speakers, spread padding or the
packaging material on the floor to prevent damage to the
speaker housing or terminals. Be careful not to place too much
pressure or use excessive force when detaching the speakers.
