Entering data into your Sony CLIÉ Handheld Using the hardware keyboard Your CLIÉ handheld comes with a hardware keyboard that includes most characters that you need when entering text and data.The hardware keyboard can be used in the same way as your computer keyboard. 1 Open any application (such as Memo Pad). 2 Tap any record, or tap New. 3 Press the character keys to enter text and numbers. You can use the hardware keyboard in the same way as with the keyboard of your computer. To enter the numbers and marks printed in blue, Hold down the Fn key and press the character key. Aside from entering text, you can scroll up, down, and sideways with the arrow keys.
