3: Connecting speakers Connect your speakers to the receiver. This receiver allows you to use a 7.1 channel system (except for STR-DA3000ES models of area code CEL, TW) or 6.1 channel (STR-DA3000ES models of area code CEL, TW only). To fully enjoy theater-like multi channel surround sound requires five speakers (two front speakers, a center speaker, and two surround speakers) and a sub woofer (5.1 channel).
