TV operation Setting the V-Chip An age limitation can be set to forbid children to watch programs according to "TV RATING" and "MOVIE RATING" level set. To use the V-Chip function, you must register a password. Notes: • If you forget the password, you cannot set the V-Chip. • To avoid forgetting the password, write it down and keep in the safe place. To register password To change password 1 Press MENU, then press B or A to select option. 1 In the V-CHIP menu, press ▲ or ▼ to select "CHANGE PASSWORD", then press A. / / / / MENU 2 Press ▲ or ▼ to select "PASSWORD". V-CHIP OFF V-CHIP SET CHANGE PASSWORD / / / MENU 2 Enter the new password using Number buttons (0-9), then press ENTER. 0-9/ENTER/CANCEL/MENU 3 Enter the password (4 digits) using Number buttons (0-9), then press ENTER. • If you put a wrong number, press CANCEL. 0-9/ENTER/CANCEL/MENU V-CHIP SET NEW PASSWORD : 0-9/ENTER/CANCEL/MENU " " appears instead of the number. 3 Enter the same password again using Number buttons (0-9) for safety, then press ENTER. 0-9/ENTER/CANCEL/MENU 4 Enter the same password again using Number buttons (0-9) for safety, then press ENTER.
