Listening to Weather Channels The scanner lets you easily listen to NOAA weather channels in use in your area. Simply slide the audio source selector to Weather. The scanner scans the preset weather frequencies and stops if it detects a transmission. If you want to check for another frequency in use in your area, press SCAN or press L or M. Seven NOAA weather channels are available across most of the US. To find out which channel is in use in your area, visit their web site at http://www.noaa.nws.gov. The scanner also includes three Canadian Coast Guard weather broadcast frequencies (numbered 8-10 in the scanner). Select one of these frequencies if they are in use in your area.
