• For your convenience, voice prompts will guide you through the menu mode. • After the setting, press the key to exit the menu mode, or the menu/clock key to move to the next menu option. Setting Up Your Answering System Answering System Setting To set the following six functions you must enter the menu mode. Standby menu/clock "Time" menu/clock "Security Code" menu/clock "Ring Time" menu/clock "Record Time" menu/clock "Message Alert" menu/clock "Language" menu/clock Return to standby (tone sounds) • With the phone in standby mode, use the menu/clock key to scroll through the menu options. The system returns to standby and sounds a tone after the last menu option. • If any of the following occurs during menu setup, the system returns to standby, and you will have to start over with the procedure you were performing: - The talk/flash key is pressed - The (play/stop) key is pressed - 10 seconds elapse without a key press - An incoming call is received • If the system remains idle for about five seconds after the announcement, the system returns to standby.
