CONNECTORS Installation Hard Disk Connectors: IDE1 & IDE2 The mainboard has a 32-bit Enhanced IDE and Ultra DMA 133/100 controller that provides PIO mode 0~4, Bus Master, and Ultra DMA 133/100 functions. You can connect up to four hard disk drives, CD-ROM and other devices. The primary hard drive should always be connected to IDE1 as the master drive. Both IDE drives can connect to a master and a slave drive. IDE1-2 1 If two drives are connected to a single cable, the jumper on the second drive must be set to slave mode. Refer to the drive documentation supplied by the vendor for the jumper settings. 17

IDE1 & IDE2
The mainboard has a 32-bit Enhanced IDE and Ultra DMA 133/100 controller
that provides PIO mode 0~4, Bus Master, and Ultra DMA 133/100 functions.
You can connect up to four hard disk drives, CD-ROM and other devices.
The primary hard drive should always be connected to IDE1 as the master
drive.
Both IDE drives can connect to a master and a slave drive.
