3. Track your progress with the six modes. Press the Mode button to change which display mode is selected. When the Scan mode is selected, the console will display the Time, Speed, Distance, Calories, and Pulse modes, for several seconds each, in a repeating cycle. 5. When you are finished exercising, remove the key from the console. Press the Start/Stop button to stop the walking belt. Next, remove the key from the console and put it in a secure place. Then, press the power switch into the off position and unplug the power cord. IMPORTANT: If you do not do this, the treadmill’'s electrical components may wear prematurely. In addition, make sure that your hands are clean. To measure your heart rate, stand on the foot rails and hold the pulse bar with your palms on the metal contacts; avoid moving your hands. When your pulse is detected, your heart rate will be shown. For the most accurate heart rate reading, continue to hold the contacts for about 15 seconds. 11

on the handrails. In addition, make sure that your
hands are clean.
To measure your heart rate,

and hold the pulse bar with your palms on
the metal contacts;
avoid moving your hands.
When your pulse is detected, your heart rate will be
shown.
