The RoHS Directive restricts the use of six hazardous materials (including lead, mercury and cadmium) in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment. Energy Star qualified The Phaser 7500 also qualifies as an Energy Star compliant device, meeting or exceeding the designation's latest, Tier II environmental performance standards. EPA Climate Leaders program Xerox was among the first technology companies to set a company-wide target for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We joined the U.S. EPA Climate Leaders program in 2003 and subsequently set a target to reduce total greenhouse gas emissions by 10 percent from 2002 to 2012. We achieved our first goal six years early and then announced an even more aggressive goal - a 25 percent reduction in total greenhouse gas emissions from 2002 to 2012.
