■ Quick Start This turns the Quick Start function on and off. When the Quick Start function is on: - The startup time of the Player is reduced. - However, power consumption will increase. - The QUICK indicator lights up. When the Quick Start function is off: - The player will enter the low power consumption mode when in standby condition. Yes, No* Note - When "Quick Start" is set to "Yes", the Player requires some time to turn off. ■ Auto Power Off This sets the Player so that power is automatically shut off if playback is stopped for about 10 minutes. Yes, No* ■ HDMI Control This lets you set the Player to receive the control signal from the remote control of the TV compatible with the HDMI control function via the HDMI cable. Yes, No* Notes - For details, refer to "Controlling the Blu-ray disc player using the HDMI control function" (page 18) and the operation manual of AV receiver and TV. - If "Component" is selected in "Video Out Select", HDMI Control function is not available. Select "HDMI" if you want to use HDMI Control features. ■ Playback Setting Parental Control In some digital broadcasts and BD/DVD video discs, a control level for disc viewing is set depending on the age of the viewer. This lets you set the Parental Control depending on the disc content. The available Parental Control Levels are shown below. The 4-digit password number needs to be entered before the Parental Control Levels and the Country Code are set. The Parental Control Levels and the Country Code cannot be set if a password has not been created or the password is not entered. For DVD-VIDEO 8 and Off*: 1-7: All DVD-video can be played. Prohibits play of DVD-video with corresponding ratings recorded on them. For BD-ROM No Limit*: 0-99 year(s): All BD-video can be played. Prohibits play of BD-video with corresponding ratings recorded on them. Settings Country code Sets the country code. Refer to the Country Code List (page 38) because the ratings differ according to the country. Note - Refer to "Example of the Setup Menu operation" on page 30 for details. Disc Language This lets you select the language for subtitles, audio and menus displayed on the screen. 4 Subtitle SETTINGS Refer to the Language List. (page 38) Audio Refer to the Language List. (page 38) Angle Mark Display This lets you turn the Angle Mark Display on or off when BD/DVD video recorded with multiple angles is played back. (The Angle Mark is displayed in the lower right screen.) Yes, No* Password Setting This sets the password for setting or changing the Parental Control Level. Yes: Enter the 4-digit number. No: Cancels the password setting. Notes - When you forget the password, you can reset the current password using "System Reset" under "Settings". (page 34) - You can also set the new password if desired. BD Internet Access This allows you to set access restriction to BD-LIVE contents. Permit: Allow all BD-LIVE discs. Limit*: Allow only discs with owner certification. Prohibit: Prohibit all BD-LIVE discs. Notes - The available functions differ depending on the disc. - Regarding playback method of BD-LIVE contents, etc., perform the operations in accordance with the instructions in the BD disc manual. - To enjoy BD-LIVE functions, perform the broadband internet connection (page 14) and communication settings (pages 34-36).
