To stop play temporarily PLAY/ PAUSE PAUSE To stop play completely STOP * To resume play, press the PLAY/PAUSE button again (or press the PLAY or PAUSE button on the remote control transmitter). To play a desired track on the disc DIRECT PLAY Select a desired track by using the numeric buttons. + 10 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 SKIP PLAY q To play from the beginning of the track following the one now playing SKIP q To play from the beginning of the track now playing SKIP The selected track number is displayed. Example: To select track 25 Press twice, then immediately press once. q To play from the beginning of the track before the one now playing SKIP + 10 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 * If a track number higher than the highest track number on the disc is selected, the last track on the disc will be played. (twice) * These operations can also be performed when the unit is in the pause or stop mode. Display information at disc play Encloses the tray number of the selected disc. Shows the tray numbers with discs. Shows the selected track number. Shows the time displays. (Refer to "Selecting time displays" on page 9.) Displays the numbers that correspond to the numbers of the tracks (as high as number 15) on the disc. After each track is played, its corresponding number disappears so the number of remaining tracks (and their numbers) can be seen at a glance. Shows the level of signals output into an amplifier or the headphone level adjusted by using the OUTPUT LEVEL control. 8
