TROUBLESHOOTING Troubleshooting Refer to the table below when this unit does not function properly. If the problem you are experiencing is not listed below or if the instruction below does not help, turn off this unit, disconnect the power cable, and contact the nearest authorized Yamaha dealer or service center. ■ General Problem This unit fails to turn on or enters the standby mode soon after the power is turned on. No sound. No picture. The sound suddenly goes off. Sound is heard from the speaker on one side only. Cause Remedy The power cable is not connected or the plug is not completely inserted. Connect the power cable firmly. The speaker impedance setting is incorrect. Set the speaker impedance to match your speakers. The protection circuitry has been activated. Make sure that all speaker wire connections on this unit and on all speakers are secure and that the wires for each connection do not touch anything other than their respective connections.
