BASIC OPERATION ■ Controlling iPod in the menu browse mode You can perform the advanced operations of your iPod using the supplied remote control with the aid of the OSD of this unit. You can browse the songs stored on your iPod in the OSD. Further, you can change or adjust settings for your iPod to suit your personal preferences. y • The name of the song being played also appears in the front panel display according to the "FL SCROLL" parameter in "OPTION MENU" (see page 98). • You can select the amount of time the iPod menu and play information is displayed in the OSD by using the "OSDSOURCE" in "OPTION MENU" (see page 98). Notes • Operations cannot be done with the controls on your iPod. • There are some characters that cannot be displayed in the front panel display or in the OSD of this unit. Those characters are replaced with underscores "_". • The "Settings" parameters can be changed or adjusted only in the OSD. Press 8ENTER or 8k/n repeatedly on the remote control to toggle between the "Settings" parameter settings. • You cannot browse the photos or video clips stored on your iPod in the OSD. Use the simple remote mode to enjoy watching the photos or video clips stored on your iPod. 1 Set the operation mode selector to FSOURCE and then press JDISPLAY on the remote control. The following display appears in the OSD. iPod Top Playlists > Artists > Albums > Songs > Genres > Composers > Settings > 2 Press 8k / n / l / h to navigate the iPod menu and then press 8ENTER to begin playback of the selected song. Choices: Playlists (playlists), Artists (artists), Albums (albums), Songs (songs), Genres (genres), Composers (composers), Settings (settings) • Playlists > Songs • Artists > Albums > Songs • Albums > Songs • Songs • Genres > Artists > Albums > Songs • Composers > Albums > Songs • Settings > Shuffle, Repeat Using iPod™ Shuffle Shuffle Use this feature to set this unit to play songs or albums in random order. Choices: Off, Songs, Albums • Select "Off" to deactivate this feature. • Select "Songs" to set this unit to play songs in random order. • Select "Albums" to set this unit to play albums in random order. y When "Shuffle" is set to a setting other than "Off", " " appears in the top right corner while songs or albums are being shuffled. Repeat Repeat Use this feature to set this unit to repeat one song or a sequence of songs.
