Select Infrastructure to associate to an AP. Select Ad-Hoc to associate to a peer computer. Enter the SSID (Service Set ID) of the wireless network to which you want to associate. To associate to an ad-hoc network, you must enter the same SSID as the peer computer. Enter Any to associate to or roam between any infrastructure wireless networks. This is the default setting. This field is applicable when you select Ad-Hoc in the Wireless Mode field. Select the channel number from the drop-down list box. To associate to an ad-hoc network, you must use the same channel as the peer computer. Select a transmission speed from the drop-down list box. Choose from Auto (default), 1Mbps, 2Mbps, 5.5Mbps, 6Mbps, 9Mbps, 11Mbps, 12Mbps, 18Mbps, 24Mbps, 36Mbps, 48Mbps and 54Mbps. Select Mix Mode to set the ZyAIR to operate in a wireless network with both IEEE802.11b and IEEE802.11g wireless devices. Select 802.11g Only to set the ZyAIR to operate in a wireless network with only IEEE802.11g wireless devices. If you select this, the ZyAIR may not communicate with IEEE802.11b wireless devices. Click OK to save the changes. Click Cancel to discard all the changes. 5.1.2 LAN MAC Address Cloning Every Ethernet device has a unique MAC (Media Access Control) address. The MAC address is assigned at the factory and consists of six pairs of hexadecimal characters, for example, 00:A0:C5:00:00:02. You can configure the LAN port's MAC address by either using the factory default or cloning the MAC address from a computer on your LAN. To set the LAN MAC address, click Setup in the navigation panel and scroll down to the bottom of the screen. Basic Wireless LAN Setup 5-3
