Air Conditioning MAX: This setting provides maximum cooling with the least amount of work. MAX recirculates much of the air inside your vehicle so it cools quickly. Adjust the temperature and fan speed to COOL and HIGH. Air is directed through the middle instrument panel outlets. NORM: Use NORM for normal cooling on hot days. This setting coolsthe air entering your vehicle and directs it through the middle instrument panel outlets. Adjust the temperature andfan speed for your comfort. If RECIRC is selected while in the NORM air conditioning mode the system works like MAX and recirculates the air. but your lower body may not be warm enough. BI-LEV directs outside airinto your vehicle in two ways. Cool air is directed toward your upper body through the middle instrument panel outlets, while slightly warmed air is directed to the floor. Defrost FRONT The FRONT defrost setting directs most of the air flow toward the windshield. Use defrost when you want to remove fog or ice from the windshield. Adjust the temperature control toward WARM and the fan control toward HIGH. FRONT defrost will work better if heavy snow and ice are cleared away from the hood, windshield and the air inlet area between the hood and windshield. BI-LEV: This setting is designed for use on sunny days when the air is moderately warm or cool. On days like these, the sun may adequately warm your upper body. 3-7
