Fuses and Circuit Breakers The wiring circuits in your car are protected from short circuits by a combination of fuses and circuit breakers The fuse panel located under the instrument panel, is next to the parking brake. Look at the silver-colored band inside the fuse. If the band is broken or melted, replace the fuse. Besure you replace a bad fuse with a new one of the identical size and rating. There are additional fuses located behind the right sound insulator panel on the passenger side.If these require service, seeyour Buick dealer. Remove the cover to access the fuses. To put the cover on, insert the tabs into the lower part of the fuse panel and snap it in place. 6-44
