2-12 Keys, Doors, and Windows Delayed Locking When locking the doors with the power lock switch and a door is open, the doors will lock five seconds after the last door is closed. You will hear three chimes to signal that the delayed locking feature is in use. Pressing the power lock switch twice or the lock button on the RKE transmitter twice will override the delayed locking feature and immediately lock all the doors. This feature can be programmed by using the Driver Information Center (DIC). See "Delayed Door Lock" under Vehicle Personalization on page 5-43. Automatic Door Locks The doors will lock automatically when all doors are closed, the ignition is on, and the shift lever is moved out of P (Park). To unlock the doors: . . If equipped with a keyed ignition and the key is in the ignition, and locking is requested with the driver door open, all doors will lock and then the driver door will unlock. If Unlocked Door Anti Lockout is turned on and the vehicle is off, and locking is requested with the driver door open, all doors will lock and only the driver door will unlock. The Unlocked Door Anti Lockout feature can be turned on or off using the vehicle personalization menus. See "Unlocked Door Anti Lock Out" in Vehicle Personalization on page 5-43. Lockout Protection can be manually overridden with the driver door open by pressing and holding Q on the power door lock switch. Press K on a door. Shift the transmission into P (Park). The power door locks can be programmed. See Vehicle Personalization on page 5-43. Lockout Protection If equipped with pushbutton start and the vehicle is in ACC/ ACCESSORY or ON/RUN/START, and locking is requested with the driver door open, all doors will lock and only the driver door will unlock.
