Cruise Control A CAUTION: e Cruise control can dangerous where you be can't drive safely at a steady speed. So, don't use your cruisecontrol on winding roads or in heavy traffic. e Cruise control canbe dangerous on slippery roads. On such roads, fastchanges in tire traction can cause needless wheel spinning, and you could losecontrol. Don't use cruise controlon slippery roads. With cruise control, you can maintain a speed of about 25 mph (40 b h more without keeping your foot / ) or on the accelerator. This can help long trips. Cruise on 25 mph control does not work at speeds below about (40 k / ) mh. Cruise control shuts when you apply your brakes. off If your vehicle is in cruise control when the traction control system begins limit wheelspin, the cruise to control will automatically disengage. (See "Traction Control System"in the Index.) When road conditions allow you to safely use it again, you may turn the cruise control back on. 2-36
