Driving and Operating If 9-39 d comes on and stays on: 1. Stop the vehicle. 2. Turn the engine off and wait 15 seconds. 3. Start the engine. Drive the vehicle. if d comes on and stays on, the vehicle may need more time to diagnose the problem If the condition persists, see your dealer. { Caution Do not repeatedly brake or accelerate heavily when TCS is off. The vehicle driveline could be damaged. To turn off only TCS, press and release the Y button. The appropriate DIC message will be displayed. See Ride Control System Messages on page 5-41. To turn TCS on again, press and release the Y button. If TCS is limiting wheel spin when the Y button is pressed, the system will not turn off until the wheels stop spinning. StabiliTrak on again, press and release the Y button. The StabiliTrak OFF light g in the instrument cluster turns off. Adding accessories can affect the vehicle's performance. See Accessories and Modifications on page 10-3. Competitive Driving Mode To select this optional handling mode, press the TCS/StabiliTrak button quickly two times and STABILITRAK COMPETITIVE MODE displays in the Driver Information Center (DIC). While in the StabiliTrak Competitive Mode, the StabiliTrak Off light comes on, TCS does not limit wheel spin, and more effort is required to turn the steering wheel. Adjust your driving accordingly. Turning the Systems Off and On The TCS/StabiliTrak button is on the instrument panel (CTS) or the steering wheel (CTS-V). To turn off both TCS and StabiliTrak, press and hold the Y button until the StabiliTrak OFF light g comes on in the instrument cluster. The appropriate DIC message displays. See Ride Control System Messages on page 5-41. To turn TCS and
