6. Now, with the compartment door closed, press the button again to make sure the garage door opener operates properly. Driver Information System With the garage door opener positioned properly and the right number of pegs in place, you can press the button to operate the opener. Your vehicle may be equipped with a HomeLink® Transmitter. For more information, see Programming the HomeLink® Transmitter on page 2-31. This system displays the outside air temperature, compass direction and trip information in the overhead console. US/MET (United States/Metric): The US/MET button allows you to switch the display between the English and metric system. MODE: The MODE button can be used to toggle between three modes of operation: OFF, COMP/TEMP and TRIP. COMP/TEMP (Compass/Temperature): This display provides the outside temperature and one of eight compass readings to indicate the direction the vehicle is facing. 2-38
