14 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE To remove the emergency key, slide the mechanical latch Removing Key Fob From Ignition on the Key Fob sideways with your thumb and then pull Place the shift lever in PARK or place the manual the key out with your other hand. transmission in REVERSE and apply the parking brake.
