Starting the engine Note Follow the "High ambient temperature" procedure to start the engine when it is warm. Warning Before starting the engine, become familiar with the controls you will need to use when riding. Regular ambient temperature (10 to 35°C): 1) Move the ignition key to ON (fig. 21.1). Make sure both the green light N and the red light on the instrument panel come on. Important The oil pressure light should go out a few seconds after the engine has started (page 11). If the light stays on, stop the engine and check oil level. Never start the engine when oil pressure is too low.
